Is it possible to install the Mac OS on a non-Apple computer, but it technically violates the Mac OS license (it is unclear whether or not this provision is truly enforceable in a court of law since it has never been tested).

None of it is supported by Apple, however, and as I said it is again the EULA.

It can be a real pain in the rear to do from what I have read.

What you're referring to is called a "hackintosh" and yes you can install mac on custom PC.. Infact there is a huge community built around it..

you can check out http://www.tonymacx86.com/forum.php

There are compatible builds for mac OS there that you can search up on.  :thumbup2:
