In the recent weeks, I have faced this issue more and more increasingly.
Whenever I press my power button, the BIOs will show, POST will run, thenafter the 4 blobs of ink will join to form the windows logo. This is where the computer slows down totally, I will get stuck on the screen for approximately 1 min while the harddisk activity light will not be lighted. After 1 minute, the login screen shows and everything is back to normal. Strangely, my keyboard's numlock button then will be lighted only after the login screen is shown. Afterwards, everything is lightning fast.
Sometimes it will be just the monitor being blacked for 1 minute, then the login screen shows.
I have tried to unplug all my USB ports but the same startup issue occurs.
SSDLife puts my SSD health as excellent.
I have played around with MSCONFIG, even started in safe mode just for kicks but no dice, it will ALWAYS be slowed down on after windows load, and miracullously be restored to 110% after logon.
My Computer specs:
Windows ultimate 64bit
Intel i5 4690 3.5Ghz
Gtx 760 4 GB
16GB 2100Mhz Ram
Crucial 500gb SSD
Some miscelleanous issues:
1. At times, my backlighted keyboard will be lighted even when the computer is powered but not switched on.
2. I once had this svchost.exe "malware", it constantly runs at over 85% CPU Usage, I tracked it down and used a workaround to block it by creating a svchost.exe folder in the Windows Temp folder. Now, when try to recreate the issue, the file does not automatically be created on login.
Any advice is appreciated.
