My Gateway sx2370-us10p has a FM1 socket. Basically, I'd like to know if there is a mobo upgrade that will replace the FM1 Socket with an FM2 Socket.

FYI unless you are planning to also pick up a new version of windows you cannot replace the mainboard without also getting a new microsoft key as the validation is tied to the mobo.  Your OEM gateway OS will not validate on a mainboard replacement.

I could always reinstall a retail version.

Maybe I'd be better off just buying a new gaming computer, mine is one of those form factor computers, so there's not much room for modification.
