Okay so I've got this pretty old computer that I would like to factory reset. Well I've got a USB, and an iso, and I would like to reinstall Windows ME (which is what it already has) or Windows 98. It's a Gateway but doesn't have a model number on it so I'm not sure what to say on that, it says "Designed for Windows 98 or ME" on the front so I guess it was built for both. So I've tried many google ways, but the problem is, I have no idea how to boot from USB. Since it's not DOS based, I can't just enter a command or restart in MS-DOS mode. I can't seem to find a way to boot from the BIOS. I just want it to be set to factory defaults, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i dont think you can. if you can boot from CD, burn this to CD

boot from CD and select boot manager(i think) and then boot from USB(or something like that)

but i dont think you can make installation for win 98 or ME from USB, you can make win 2000 using this

you can try to copy everything from windows 98/me iso onto flash drive, and try to boot using ploplinux i linked before. maybe it will work.

but if you cant use CD drive you are out of luck, you cant boot usb on very old computers. /:
