Hello,

These keep getting detected and deleted by Microsoft Security Essentials.  I'm having to post this from another computer because Chrome/Firefox/Explorer will not show bleepingcomputer.  Some updates in Windows Update don't download at all.  They stay stuck at 0% download.  I've tried running mbam and MSE in safe mode but they viruses keep popping back up.  I notice in Windows task manager that iexplore (multiple versions) takes up a lot of memory even when not open.  I typically don't use internet explorer.

I'm running Win 7.  I've also noticed that a version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 (and x64) redistributable - 10.0.40219 keeps installing in the background and shows up in the Programs.  I have deleted them several times but they reappear.

Thanks.

It sounds serious...

Please follow the instructions in THIS GUIDE starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it HERE. Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

Zbot.Gen!plock just came out as a new trojan horse this is what it can do:

A: This Trojan can install itself without user consent.

B: It can create new registry keys and files and change settings of internet browsers.

C: You will be redirected to malware sites and bad popups which are bad

D: It can create exploits so other worms or infections can come in probably where Crowti.A and Ramdo.G came in.

E: This infection is to help other hackers steal sensitive information/passwords
