I have a desktop computer which doesn't have any wifi so I was trying to tether the wifi of my phone (samsung galaxy s1 plus) through the USB. The problem is without internet I think the pc cant find the drivers for the phone online... I've tried downloading them manually but it doesn't seem to work. When connecting I get the error "mtp usb device failed". Does anyone know any way around this problem? I've been fighting with it for days now =(

Go to a friends house with a usb stick and download the drivers to the usb stick then take home to install.
