keyboard problem

My son some how messed with my keyboard. Some of the letters are turning into numbers. How do I fix this please someone help me

I assume this is a laptop, and I also assume on those letter keys that are turing into numbers they have a number printed in another color on the keyboard? If so try turning off numlock.

It is a hp laptop. However there aren't any numbers on the letter keys

They may have worn off, or I suppose maybe they never existed. There should be a numlock key somewhere, sometimes you have to hold the FN key plus some other key. If you give the model # I may be able to tell you more.

If I recall correctly, the numlock key was often the FN key + scroll lock key. The FN key should be on the lower left hand side somehwere.
