Windows update is disabled on one of my systems.

I've ran a scan using AVG and MBAM in both the normal desktop environment and Safe mode. Also ran sfc where it found corrupted files.

The BITS and Windows update service is enabled and running.

Windows update is still disabled/nonoperational.

Do a google search for 'Windows Update error 80246008' and follow their steps but include selecting the 'Dependencies' tab and check if the RPC endpoint mapper is automatic. Then reboot and see if it cleared up, mine did.

Ok, as soon as you can, because it may take a day or two for the reply, busy.
