Just recently, I cannot open my Yahoo email account on my laptop running Vista Home Premium. My laptop's homepage is Yahoo. When I click on the email link, I get this error message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page". Also, I cannot go to any site using the address bar. When I try, I get the same error message as above. The links to the news stories work, though. I can open my yahoo email account on my Ipad 2 and PC and go to any website using the address bar but not on the laptop. Would you help me, please? Thanks.

Do you have the IE 9 browser?

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the

Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.

After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.

I think the best solution is to get a more modern browser. Suggest Firefox....Download Firefox — Free Web Browser — Mozilla

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > right-click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open an elevated command prompt.

In the Command Prompt, type in the bold text, one command after the other, pressing Enter between each one of them:

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Restart the computer.
