Hey toys and squirrels I have a few questions about a PC I recently bought.  I want to upgrade the processor, add some RAM and upgrade the Video Card but I am not sure about my motherboard and what is compatible with it.  Ideally I want to upgrade the processor to a quad-core intel processor, add an additional 4gb of RAM and to upgrade the video card but I am not sure which video card as of yet.  If ye can help me with this I would whole-heartedly appreciate it!  I am not an expert on hardware so if I cant upgrade to a quad core or whatever then oops!  I am a newb when it comes to upgrading!  Below I have pasted the specs of my PC thanks to belarc advisor:

I think you will find that you have a so called quad-core (Multi-core (4 total))
The Pentium J2900 2.41GHz was released over three years more recently than the Core 2 Quad, and so the Pentium J2900 2.41GHz is likely to have far better levels of support, and will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Core 2 Quad when running the latest games.

Oh I see. If I understand you correctly are you saying my processor is pretty damn good?  I tried playing Rome Total War with the highest video settings and it couldnt handle it.  That might be a result of having a crappy video card.  Basically I am looking to upgrade as much as possible!  Thanks for the reply!

Thank you for that.  Ideally I would like to get a better video card.  Currently the video card I do have wont even run Age of Empires 3 as it lacks the "support for Hardware Transformation & Lighting".  The main goal is to make my PC able to play a game like Shogun 2 Total War, Starcraft 2, Age of Wushu or Sins of a Solar Empire.  Now I am a newb when it comes to hardware and compatibility and I want to make sure that the hardware I do buy will work with the motherboard I have.  So I am looking to add more RAM, change my Processor and change my video card.

Hello and thank you for the information provided.  It may help us more if we knew what kind of motherboard you have and yes your current bottleneck is more than likely your video card.  Please see How to Speccy and post a link in your next reply so we can get a better look.
