So all of a sudden I can no longer manually control the fan speed on my GPU (R9 290) though the Catalyst Control Center.  I can go in through Speedfan and change it, but otherwise it just stays at 20%.  I've updated the Catalyst Control Center driver but that didn't help.  Am I missing something obvious?

could bea bug, try uninstalling the CCC and reinstalling. otherwise, if your not having any cooling issues then I wouldn't worry to much about it.

I hear you on not worrying about it, I'm just anal and have been able to manually change the fan speed for as long as I can remember.  The other really weird thing is that if I have SpeedFan open, and change the speed, I can hear it change and it recognizes the new speed on the CCC screen.  But if I then change the speed on the CCC screen, it will automatically turn the fan speed down to 20% no matter what.

Never tried to uninstall and reinstall, maybe I'll do that, though I thought that would have happened automatically with the new driver.
