Hi guys, I've been struggling to solve a string of BSODs with my new build PC.  Spec is as follows:

Motherboard: ASRock, Z87E-ITX (updated to 2.50 BIOS)
CPU: Intel i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP (2x8Gb)

Gfx: Radeon HD 6870

SSD: Samsung 840 Evo

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

I have very few programs installed on the PC as have re-installed windows a few times in attempt to rule out a corrupt install.

I've run WhoCrashed to analyse the dumps and they're all memory-based BSODs.  I have run memtest on each stick seperately in both slots for around 3 hours with no faults.

I'm at a bit of a loss now, anything you guys can recommend would be much appreciated.

Posted WhoCrashed logs below.

Thanks,

sg27

It looks like a Bad Ram. But cannot be sure as of now, It can aslo be caused by faulty app drivers.

Do a mem test and check.  Follow the below link to perform a mem test.

Also please do run MinitoolBox and select Listed Program and post the log here.

Thanks, if you read the first post, I spent almost an entire day testing the various combinations of RAM, two slots, two sticks, five different configurations all for about three hours through memtest.  All fine.

Annoyingly I've had no crashes since starting this thread :/

I would not be annoyed...those are the best Windows problems, the ones that go away after an interval :).

I would just monitor the system for a day or two.

Nothing serious in the program that could cause a BSOD

The crash dumps are not showing finite cause for BSOD's.

Did you overclock your system. ?

The other way of finding out is do a process of elimination.

From your first post I see that you two ram slots. Remove a memory chip and let the system run for couple of hours on single Ram and see if you get the BSOD. Do the same with the next slot.

If they all pass out try Driver verifier which could give us some more info on what could be causing the BSOD

Tried driver verifier today and the system would not boot.  Tried several times and would always hang at the Loading windows black screen with windows logo.  Would not boot in safemode - had to do a system restore to get it to boot.

Since then had a few more BSODs - reposting logs from MiniToolBox.  Tried RAM from a different machine - same problems present.  No errors with chkdsk.  GPU passes stress tests.  I really am at a loss.

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

atikmdag.sys (ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions from users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.
