hi just wondering,i know somebody who has deleted a file from server 2008,can i retrieve this? i have heard of shadow copy,but how do i go about this,any help would be great thanks

if shadow copies are enabled then right click the folder/file and then properties and goto previous versions tab. Select the date to restore and bingo you are done.

ok thanks,but if the file is deleted then how will i find the file icon to rite click?

if shadow copies are not enabled then you would/could try something like Recuva.
