I am interested in buying a new WiFi tablet and would like to know if the app that you download for the cell phones for Google translate can be used on a WiFI tablet.

With the cell phone Google Translate app you have a microphone in the in box and a speaker in the out box so that you can speak into the phone and have the voice come out translated. You do not have this option on your computer when using Google translate as you only have the speaker and no microphone.

Thank you,

Hey TomS,

If you're still looking for an answer to your question, tablets do have microphones and will thus allow you to use the voice-to-text option in Google translate. If you have any other questions, feel free to reply!
