hullo...

I am having a problem with the output from my GTX660 to an Asus monitor and a Vizio TV.   From the GTX660 I have the DVI out to the Asus monitor and the HDMI to a Sony receiver, outputted to the Vizio.  I also have optical output from my sound card to the receiver (for the monitor).  The trouble I am having is that when I want to use just the monitor I cannot turn off the TV without the monitor also receiving no input.  Shoudln't these connections work separately from each other, as the DVI is just video and has no connection to the TV?  Any help would be great.

thanks,
