Epson printer driver does not install

For some time i'm trying to install a driver for an Epson WF-3520 all-in-one.

Before having printing problems it printed fine, but the scanner didn't work.

After several tries, I was able to install the scanner driver, but unfortunatly I lost the printer driver.

I tried to reinstall the driver, but every time the system failed to finish the install process.

 

I have to admit I'm not a computer whizkid, but I found the following errors:

I'm sorry some of it is in dutch, but I hope someone can help me getting the driver installed.

As I told allready, I'm not an expert, so please try to explain in an understandable way.

What is the error you get when you install the drivers. Check if the device install service is enabled under services.msc. It would be better if you could provide the setupapi.dev files here.

 

You can find the setupapi.dev.txt file under Inf folder. Just type inf in the run box and it should open up for you.

Thank you for your reply. As I told, I'm not an advanced problem solver.

In the inf folder I found this

 

- setupapi.offline.20131119_133031

- setupapi.ofline

- setupapi.setup

 

I saw these are large files. Do you need to know what is the files?

 

 

I also received some messages when I tried to install the driver I downloaded from the Epson support website.

A messagebox popped up telling the parameters were not found.

 

This messages is also shown in a messagebox tittled "Epson status monitor 3"

 

It would be great if you could help me, so I would be able to use all printer options again.

Yes I need the setupapi.dev file.. Its a txt file so you copy its contents and paste it here.

 

What is the exact error you get when installing the drivers. It would help a lot fixing the problem. the printer drivers can be found in the below link.

Also is the spooler services running. You can check if the services are running by typing services.msc in run box.

 

Make sure to uninstall any old printer drivers if they are not in use.

Because of the size of the files I can't post them. Do you need the entire file or is a part of the file enough.

And if you need the entire file, do you know a way to post it.

 

The error I get is: "You are not allowed to change the settings for this printer. Please contact the administrator if you want to change the settings for this printer."

I hope I translated it well.
   
I also checked the spooler. It is enabled, starts automaticly and is a local system.
