Strange. I cam back to my Dell XPS410 desktop running Windows Vista and the ON light was on on the tower but I had a blank screen. I cold booted the computer and noticed a dos screen came up first but eventually the computer loaded and was able to run my programs online and offline.

However, when I went to print with my HPC6180 all-in-one, I got an error message that my printer had lost two way connection to the computer. I was able to print a word document without problems but not a Windows photogallery bitmap and in both cases, an error message came up saying I had lost 2 way connectivity to the computer.  Not sure what happened.

Problem solved. It seems that the connection lost code somehow and when I rebooted the computer and shut the printer off than back on, the lost connection was restored, the error message didn't come up and the printer prints. I also disconnected the USB cable then reconnected it.
