I have been reading and following the instructions in other forums about how to remove vosteran, but i have reached a point where i just need help from someone who knows better than me! In the forums i have read there appear to be some very patient, professional, and intelligent people following these posts and offering assistance. Any help anyone wishes to offer me would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you so much for your help. After what I had done on my own google chrome was the only browser being hijacked by vosteran. I could use internet explorer without any issue. I have run all the programs in your post and now google chrome simply won't open and I can't uninstall it via the control panel. Again, explorer works fine and the rest of the computer appears to be working great. Also, I can't figure out how to post the logs to this forum, HA! I feel like a doofus. Any suggestions? Thank you again!

What happens when you try to open Chrome? And do you get any error messages when you try to uninstall it?

Absolutely nothing happens when I try to open chrome. I do get an error message when i try to uninstall it; it reads "please close all google chrome windows (including those in windows 8 mode) and try again."

Open the Task Manager and close any chrome.exe processes.

You can open the Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar, and then clicking Start Task Manager.
