Hi All,

I have been running Ubuntu and I am having trouble putting icons on the desktop. For example, Google, how would I do that? What is the easiest way to have shortcuts on the desktop?

You open your control panel and go to the desktop area of it. In there should be some self explanatory ways to make your desktop Icons. The panel that comes up for it in SuSE looks scary, but it's really quite simple provided you know the directory path. All the available icons which are batched for use should be in the default menu of the icon box. Play with your control panel, you'll be amazed what you can do. And, most importantly, you can't blow up your computer...not that way anyway
