I have heard tale that Internet service will be extremely expensive in the near future - particularly for families and small businesses. Supposedly there is a bill that has passed the House of Representatives in DC and has gone to the Senate that covers this.

I don't know the name of the bill, so I haven't been able to find any info online. Anyone know anything about this, the particulars of the bill, and if it passes when it might take effect?

I am not sure but are you possibly talking about the "Network Neutrality Bill??" Here is a link to a commentary about it from the viewpoint of those associated with "Consumers Union" the publishers of "Consumer Reports". http://www.hearusnow.org/tvradiocable/35/ There is also, a Bleeping Computer news item about it here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/56085/net-user-bill-of-rights-proposed-by-senate/

Thanks for the link. I think this is what I heard about. Do you think if it passes that the cost of Internet service will increase dramatically? I couldn't tell when I read it.
