Hello. I've only been on here once before, where I got great advice on the security of my computer. That was great, and since I haven't had any issues. Everything seems to be in perfect order, so thanks to that guy who helped me. I think he might've been the owner, actually. Anyway, point is: Chrome won't open. It's currently running and fine, but the issue is that whenever I right click the taskbar icon and select "new window" under Tasks, it doesn't open. It does open, however, if I go into the Chrome toolbar and click it there. I haven't tried clicking it normally (like I would if it were completely closed), mostly because I'm afraid it'll be stuck like that, and even though I have IE open just in case, it's preferable I don't have to use it.

TLDR: Chrome doesn't open if I right click the taskbar icon and hit "new window". It does if I'm already in an open window and select it from the toolbar.

Not a major problem, just a tiny bit worrying. Everything else seems to be in order.

Thanks in advance.

Can you try this?
  • Unpin Google Chrome: Right-click on the Chrome icon on the Taskbar and select Unpin this program from taskbar.
  • Re-pin Google Chrome: Launch Google Chrome (either by double-clicking the icon on your Desktop, or via Start Menu), right click on the Google Chrome icon and select Pin this program to taskbar.
Regards,
Alex
