I cannot print from word or excel.  Also when I print a pdf document only certain things print out and not the entire document.  I tried printing a test page and it prints out fine.  I also uninstalled the printer then re-installed and still nothing.  I ran malwarebytes to make sure my computer didn't have some sort of virus but it comes back clean, no virus.

I have windows 7 Toshiba laptop with Microsoft Office Suite 2010.  This is my first time posting on this forum so if you need any additional information please ask.

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

First of all - welcome to BC !

Make / model of printer; connection - wireless or USB ?  This would be useful.

Normally the first thing most here would suggest is to uninstall and re-install the printer since this solves most printer problems, but you have done this. The question then seems to be what has happened to your connection ?

When you  press 'Print' or 'Ctrl + P' do you get a screen like this ?  Obviously I have a Canon printer but your printer screen should look similar -

Then if you click on the 'Printer properties' button - in my case in the top right corner - do you see something like this -
