Windows 8.1 update not working correctly

When run a update the computer says its loading the update ya aya ya. OK then it comes back after 29minutes and says "Cant load update,uninstalling update, then reboots and say installing updates again, and then comes back with " doing a retry loading updates. Sometimes it finally after 1.5 hours loads the updates. How do i clear up thid update mess?   Wendell Clark. wb1clark@comcast.net

That sounds like there's a problem with the OS installation. Using the installation disk try running the startup repair utility. You might also try running SFC /SCANNOW [caps not necessary] from the CMD prompt as administrator. After rebooting try installing the updates again.

After running SFC /SCANNOW can you please provide the results of the scan?

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt
  • Right click on the aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39. button
  • Click on Run => Inside the run box copy and paste the following command:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • Press Enter
  • Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread
