An exception oe has occured

I'm getting an exception oe.
It says that an exception oe has ocurred at 0028:C0031C7A in VxD, this was called from 0028:C00301F9 in VxD.
Any help would be great. thanks

Are you using any Norton software? Have you installed any peripherals recently?

I have recently reformated my computer and I have removed my cd writer because it was broken. Could my problem be with that the computer is not detecting that I took out the writer?
