Hi guys,

I have an asus laptop that is having difficulty in starting. Once I press the power button, I can hear some movement from the hard drive etc but no display on screen or hard drive lights, caps lock lights etc. Holding the power button down will not force a shut down - battery and power cable has to be removed.

I can get the laptop to start normally sometimes if I remove battery and just use the power cable - however it may only start normally 1 out of 12 attempts. Replaced battery but was no good.

Really stuck with this, any help is always appreciated.

Thanks,

Norm
