I am running Mac os yosemite on a mac book pro with ATT U-verse as the provider

I have a business that recently changed hosting companies. We had problems with the launch and email was down for a while and I tried tto get email several times during the transition.

I have a partner across town using a Mac mini running yosemite and on uverse also.

At my home and at my partners home no one can access our site. I am using safari, and have tried firefox, and Chrome with no success. I have also tried with my iPhone using my wifi network with no success at either site. At my partners a friend tried using a windows computer with no success. obviously we can't get email either at home so we have to go to starbucks or similar to get mail.

When we are at puplic wifi sites like starbucks, at friends houses, at other businesses we have no problems. My daughter also uses uverse and she has no problems getting my site.

When I try to ping my site I get

\Ping has started…

Note that it ends at a different address.

We have been in touch with the new host and they have not been able to help.

As far as I can tell I have eliminated a problem with the browser, Uverse, and the server not working.

so My question is there anything possible in my Modem and my partners modem that could be causing the problem?

could the server have decided that my home address is not liked by the server where the server thinks my address is dangerous? Possibly caused by my attempting to get to the email with no success over several days?

Or is there someting I am missing?

See if changing your DNS servers to OpenDNS solves the problem.  Make a note of any existing DNS servers so you can revert if OpenDNS does not solve the problem.

If your daughter is able to get on the site from your home I don't think it's a problem with the server. You might want to try checking your firewall setting, also have you tried doing a static ip to that server

Ok you can try contacting u verse and ask them to reset your modem and router and ask them if there are any updates that need to be added to the modem I had a problem like this with webex server after they reset my modem everything worked fine.
