My laptop recently randomly started up in a debug mode where i could run a system analysis to see the status of my computer hardware. I would like to know how to do that again but i cant find any answers on google. I have windows 8.1 on a hp laptop.

I'm not surprised you can't find it easily as Advance Start-up options in Windows 8 is more difficult to find than the Higgs-Boson Particle!

However Check here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/start-windows-8-in-safe-mode/
