I wanted to make a short survey to help generate some conversation regarding the instant-messaging world. I was thinking of writing a small client for the fun of it and the idea of a survey sort of sprung to me. So feel free to answer if you'd like and discuss!

:step1: What is your favorite chat client?
:step2:  What do you like best about that client?
:step3:  If you could add to / change one thing about that client, what would it be and why?

For what chat service?

For just you or to share?

I was involved in creating a yahoo chat client a few years ago, NEVER again.

No service in particular, though I was considering maybe doing one implementing libpurple. But, small steps. lol

Probably just for me. Maybe to share with a small circle of friends. All depends, though.

Why would anyone want to do that hey Chilli.

Although it is a good learning exercise but wont make you rich, + its been done a million times before.

Well, just because something's been done a million times before doesn't mean it can't be done again.

Besides, it's mainly for leisure, and even if it were to ever become something (which it won't), it'd be a free project.

I don't know what kind of clients you want, but I'm using Skype, Pidgin and HexChat. All under Windows (8.1 if it matters a bit).
