Hi

Sorry I did it but it didn't work. I tried to reinstall windows 8 and that did not complete. I think I have managed to corrupt my whole system. I am so depressed.

Oh no, I didn't write it down so I don't know for sure. I think it just popped up a box that said windows couldn't be installed. I have another question.. how do you turn on the Windows fire wall, I have McAfee installed, but I don't think it has a firewall.

Hello,

When you say installing app, do you mean from the MS store? or a standard installer?

If it is with the MS Store, please run the follow:

  • Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
  • Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  • Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with rest of the steps.
Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt
  • Right click on the aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39. button
  • Click on Run => Inside the run box copy and paste the following command:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • Press Enter
  • Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive
