The Brother MFC-9460CDN has two kinds of scanning - one of the "regular" kind, where you put a piece of paper on the glass, close the lid and then scan, and one where you insert the paper you're going to scan on top of the machine; you can put as many sheets of paper in there as there is room for, and the machine scans one document at the time and sends it to your pc.
Now, the guy owning the scanner and computer uses it a lot for sending business papers, and until now he has pushed the buttons on the scanner, the scanner will do it's thing and then the picture/document is sent directly to his Windows Mail. Now, he will still have his scanned documents sent to his email if he clicks "scan" from the software that came with the scanner (which is hard for him to do since he hardly knows how to turn his computer on, let alone use the scanner through the software), but if he does it the old way, pushing the buttons on the scanner; first of all, the machine no longer scans the papers that are in the slot on top of the machine if he uses the buttons on the scanner, it only scans documents that are on the glass plate. The scanned document (you can only do one at the time) are then sent to the "scanned files" folder on the computer. The email program does not start even if the Win Mail is set as standard, and I have no idea how to fix it.
He wants to be able to scan pushing the buttons on the scanner, scan several documents in one operation and then have it all sent to his email. This used to work, but now it doesn't.
Any ideas? If anything is unclear, just ask.
