how to see that netframework 2 is installed in my system?

I want to install a programme which requires the prsence of dot net framework v2.0.  i have downloaded that from microsoft download site. when i tried to install it it says cannot install.reason for tje error is shown as  system32/advpack.dll

in myprogramme list i have microsoft visuall c++2005,2008 and 2010. do these have some effect on the new installation?

how can i know that dot netframework 3.0 is installed in my system? thanks

It would be easier for us if we could have a list of every programs installed on your system, so we can see by ourself what .NET Framework you have installed :) Also, which program are you trying to install?

  • Download MiniToolBox and move it to your Desktop;
  • Execute it by double-clicking on it;
  • Check the "List Installed Programs" checkbox;
  • Click on the Go button;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open.
  • Copy/paste (select the Notepad, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C to copy, and Ctrl + V to paste) the content of the output log in your next reply;

Hello evergreen netframework comes with Microsoft updates so make sure you have all the latest updates from Microsoft and you have updates option ON....to review your updates in your PC go to View  Updates History section (Windows 7) :grinner:
