An FTP Error occurred. Cannot make connection to host. 530 login authentication failed.

How to edit password.. Is that the issue????

[ tried my host.. have FTP settings. ]

Thanks - Terry

Usually when you go to a ftp site it will ask for the user and password. What do you use for a FTP client? If you do not use one, try Filezilla.

Edit: Dreamweaver has it's own FTP client?

Thanks JohnC_21 - I was hoping for an answer.. not another question I can't answer. It's frustrating enough that I can't edit my site.

Sorry.. I have no idea what you are talking about.

HELP Please?

Sorry, I am not that familiar with Dreamweaver other than it creates websites. Are you trying to upload files to your ftp site?

Hopefully somebody with Dreamweaver experience on the forum will be able to help. If you do not get help here try the Dreamweaver Forum.

This may help answer your question on solving the FTP problem..

See this thread on the Dreamweaver Forum. The person is having the same FTP connection issue. They also recommend trying Filezilla to connect.
