I have searched but can not find an answer to this.

I have a local account setup. Sometimes after reboot i get prompted for an email address instead of the local computer login.

I have went so far as to unhook the ethernet cable and disable wireless, and it still ask's for an email address.

What is going on?

If I hold the shift key down after restarting, it will go to a local computer login.

It already is a local account.

That is the weird thing. It doesn't always prompt for an email login.

Sometimes it prompts for computer login.

Is there also a Microsoft account?

Settings > Control Panel > Use accounts > Manage Other Accounts

Yes, it is a local account. It is the only account on the machine.

Sometimes when rebooting, it will come up asking for an email address.

I shut down, and restart holding the left shift key down, and it will ask for the local computer login, like it should.

It's crazy.

I would love to show it.

What you can do is to record the video, then upload it on Youtube, set it to private and post the link here if you wish. Or if it's easier, you can just take a screenshot of the message that you're getting, since you can attach that screenshot in your post.
