ShareEdit.exe is enabled in my Startup tab of Task Manager. I have not been able to successfully find out anything about this. What is ShareEdit.exe and should I disable it?

I have a new custom build with an Asus X99 Deluxe MoBo. Seems that on the install disk included with this MoBo was a bunch of junk (ie: Vosteran.A; Sanbreel.A; Rogue.Multiple; Trojan.Dropper.NS; & others) that I inadvertanty installed. I used MBAM to get rid of the ones that showed up there. Maybe this is another that has been missed? Any advice or info is much appreciated.

I'm not sure what it is, found this on Google. If you think you are infected you can post a topic in the Am I Infected? What do I do? section.

Edit: The awesome Animal posted it also. :)

Thanks - Yeah, I saw that post. Pretty vague and I was not sure of the pedigree of info. I will take your advise and post to the "Am I Infected" section if it remains unknown.

Since you have an ASUS Motherboard. I'm willing to bet it's part of the Media Streaming capability of the ASUS.

I believe you are correct. I've disabled it for now as I'm still not sure how it's used.

Thanks for the replys.
