Has anyone had their 27" imac shipped to them? I'm wondering if it's safe to have an imac that size shipped.

Yes it's safe.

Got mine 5 weeks ago, shipped by plane. 100% one piece.

Good to know. Did you get the retina version or the non-retina? Maxed out?

Also keep in mind that even if you go buy your iMac from an Apple Store or Best Buy locally, it had to get shipped to that Apple Store or Best Buy from where it is manufactured. So, whether you order it online or buy it at a local store, it will have been shipped at some point in its life.

I will note that Apple does require a signature when you buy directly from Apple and have it shipped to you.

Maxed out, Retina. 5k display. So far so good.

Yes, I got mine shipped personally (although a signature was required)
