Welcome,

When you put it back into the original port does the light come on again? If not - bad mouse, if so bad port, maybe.

Shut own, put mouse I suspect port and power up again - mouse work?

Keep us posted

Dick

If that port is listed se if you can delete and reinstall the drivers for the port, since that seems to be the problem.

Thanks

I must respectfully disagree with Dicke - this sounds more like a mouse problem to me.

Probably the simplest way to check is to plug it into a different computer. If it works in a different computer then Dicke's right and it is a USB socket or driver issue. If it doesn't work in a different computer then the mouse is faulty. If this is the case, take it back to your supplier and complain - politely at first !

And I must respectfully agree with Chris. I may have misread the original message and though that the mouse did work in another port / computer. That said, go with Chris and check it in another system.
