Please move if this is in the wrong place.

I wanted to scan something so clicked on HP Solution Centre at the side of the screen, and the following appeared:

Please wait while windows configures solution centre

Gathering required information

then

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'SolutionCenter.msi' in the box below.

then

An installation package for the product SolutionCenter cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'SolutionCenter.msi'.

After all that, I clicked on cancel, the solution centre appeared and I was able to click on scan picture as usual.

Can anyone suggest how I get rid of this, please? The title of this topic looks misleading now. However, originally when I tried clicking on HP Solution Centre, Error 1706 appeared with, something like, no source could be found.

Thank you. I shall explore them. The first one states The 'Error 1706' message displays because the Windows Installer cannot find the scan.msi file. I wonder where it went. The printer was installed ages ago.

It's an HP issue so you need to check with HP Support. The error could be the result of some recent update to your HP software.

Thank you. HP site has a lot of page cannot be found. Doh. I shall keep trying.

Have checked driver update. The error number has not appeared again, as I said, but the rest still appears even though the scanner then works. Shall keep trying on the HP page hoping HP can sort it; HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z.

Just for information, am in here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Wireless-All-in-One-Printer-series---B109/3794623/model/4206152/document/c03286146/

The above post was not from me.

In the end I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, and currently all is well. :)

That's okay; as the other poster had put ", as I said,", I felt a little confused myself (easily done). Thank you. :)
