I just updated my HP Pavillion DV7 and now it won't go past the Please Wait screen. I have tried to get in to Safe Mode but have not been able to. I do not want to boot from a recovery drive (usb) as I will lose all my data.

Is there any other way around this.
I know I'm supposed to post the vbs file results but I don't have access to desktop.

I was trying to get rid of svchost Trojan from my laptop. I tried combo fix and adwcleaner, Tdss and eset scanner but none found the virus. I used rogue kill and it found the virus running in my registry. I deleted that then used avg to scan whole PC. It showed all was good. Svchost returned. I restarted the computer and I'm stuck it's been two days
It will no go past please wait screen. I can't get in to recovery mode either. I press f11 but same thing. Stops at please wait screen and keeps loading.
Has anyone come across this situation before or experienced the same fault
