So my old laptop frequently had viruses, key loggers, and other malware and I am afraid that one or more of theses buggers might be present on one or both of my external drives. I recently purchased a new laptop for work and macbook pro for home. However, I am afraid to use the external drives with either right now because they might be infected. Unfortuantely, I need the data on the drives and can not simply format them. Could someone help me check that the drives are free from infections and assorted malware?
