I was playing a game on my PC and shut it down and later came back and tried to power it on and it wouldn't boot past the initial Vaio screen-
So I got a new hard drive, tried booting again, and can't get past the Vaio screen still. I can't get to bios or recovery either, from any of the F-keys or the assist button. I can't find out what the problem is.

Did you install Windows 7 as your OS? I ask because according to these specs your OS is Windows 8. And this topic should be moved to that forum.

Once we know for sure which OS you have, we can continue in the proper forum.
