Posted 22 June 2006 - 04:31 AM

I have run Norton Antivirus, have run ad-aware SE Psersonal, spywareblaster, as well as used my Spybot search and destroy. When Running Norton's antivirus suite in my Norton's Internet Protection, I get two files norton's cannot kill. BITBAGS.exe and Slow Reg.exe. Here is my HJT log. I ran HJT after running the other items as you instruct. Also dl'ed the Stinger like ya said. Had a problem for awhile with living in a house with two teenagers, one moved out, one been banned from my comp for life for the obvious reasons. Any help you may be able to give me and my wife would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Please post a new HijackThis log and in Notepad be sure to click on Format and place a check mark beside "word wrap" so the log will be easier to read.

Hey Wolfbringer

Download LSPFix.exe to a convenient location. Do NOT run this program. This is only to be used if you lose Internet Access after removing NewDotNet.
To Get rid of NewDotNet, go to:
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and remove the following:
New.Net Applications or New.Net Domains (anything that says New.Net)
If it is not there, go here and follow Procedure 4: NewDotNet Removal Procedure 4.

In the event that you lose Internet access after removing New.Net, please double-click LSPFix.exe that you downloaded earlier. You will see 2 panels. If there is any file listed in the "Remove" panel on the right-side, leave it as is and just click "Finish>>" then reboot your computer and you should now have access to the Internet. If nothing is listed under the "Remove Panel", do NOT do anything - just close the program. You will need to use another computer to come back here for further instructions on what to do.

Download Findlop by Metallica. Unzip it to your desktop.
Double click findlop.bat. It will open a notepad file.
Copy the content of that file and paste it here in your reply.
This utility "List Installed Programs" will provide a list of installed programs. It is found half way down the page. Click on the little arrow and then the download icon that is on the new window that opens up. You can download the script and run it from your hard disk or run it without downloading.
When asked to enter the PC details - leave it blank and click OK. Ask to view the results and copy the Notepad list. Paste it in a reply to this thread, along with a new Hijackthis log and the findlop log.
