XP won't boot

I tried to use the cd drive to reinstall XP .It starts to load and then stops. Screen does not light up.

Check to make sure the disc is not scratched. If not, you may want to try a different CD Drive just in case something is wrong with that one. Is your bios set to boot to CD/DVD as the 1st boot device?
