So I ran some registry cleaners and uninstalled some old programs because my computer was bogging down. Runs much better, but now iTunes won't open.

I get a message the AppleApplicationSupport is missing. So I tried to re-install it from the latest iTunes release, it won't install because it says a newer version of AppleApplicationSupport already exists.

I've tried uninstalling and re installing iTunes several times (files individually and as a group) and each time it give me the same error about AppleApplicationSupport.

Can anybody please help?

Thank you

Registry cleaners cause problems, they do not fix anything. The best registry cleaners are benign - they do absolutely nothing useful. The worst of them will leave your system useless. You've apparently used one somewhere in between. I suggest you use system restore to return to a point before you used the product. Alternatively, you can see if the registry cleaner has an "undo" feature.
