I am using Patterson's Eaglesoft Dental Management system. I have one pc setup as the "server" - it is also being used as a workstation. There are 6 other PC's in the office that access the dental management software on the server.
I am using Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business (SEPSB) and the Smart Firewall is blocking the dental management communications. I have added the Eaglesoft program to the firewall exceptions list but it still is blocking. I currently have the Smart Firewall disabled.
I am now trying to find out what ports are specifically being used and will make sure that they are open in the firewall. This is an internal issue only - Internet access is NOT being limited or blocked.
All PC's are Windows 7 Pro and the network is operating at 100Mbps.
Any help would be appreciated.
