Dear forum users,

I have recently been infected with CryltoLocker, or another ransom copycat. Initially, the ransom popup came which I deleted with MalawareBytes without thinking much of it. Today, after booting I realised that most of my files were encrypted. I have not been able to indentify the malaware myself, since most of the apps dont run anymore. Even the browsers are not running after rebooting pc for the second time. All the .jpg, .doc, .pdf and .cdr have been encrypted/infected.

I am running Windows 8.1, 64 bit version. I will attach encrypted files to the forum on the link provided by the mod, so you can have a better idea what I am dealing with.

I appreciate your help and thank you in advance.

Does the ransomware screen look like the one shown in this topic?...New PClock CryptoLocker Ransomware discovered (fake CryptoLocker)

If so, there is an ongoing discussion in this topic: Cryptolocker copycat/ faker. Need advice. (PClock).
