Hey i tried installing comanche 3 and some other games i have by novalogic and i recieved a message saying general protection fault everytime i tried to run any of the exe's for those games. I am running xp and i used to have a windows 98 i played them on. I'm wondering if there's something i can do to get them to work? I cleaned the cd's with a tissue gently but it didn't work. So i guess maybe its a compatibility issue. If you know a way to get them to work, lemme know please.

Hi mechmaker.
You could try them in compatibility mode.
Right click the games .exe and select properties.
Click the compatibility tab. Put a check in "Run this program in compatibility mode for", then choose an OS from the drop down list. Comanche 3 is an old Win95 game but you could try Win98 as well.

Is there an update download on the game manufacturer's support site to make it compatable with XP?

See if any of the info on the following MS Knowledgebase page helps:
