hullo...

the VS247H works fine, except the yellowish hue that is omnipresent and the relatively low brightness no matter if jacked to 100.  this monitor is being used for anything other than movies/gaming/entertainment type activities and i need something where the colors appear closer to my HDTV setup.  the HDTV is a 50" Vizio and the difference in viewing photographs is huge.  the Vizio gives off crisp/clear contrast and colors while the Asus is muddied and dark.  i am not going to the trouble to buy calibration gear and scrutinize the whole thing, but it would be nice to have at least some level of equality between the two.

i've seen one end of the spectrum to the other in regards to the VS247H reviews, but yeah, i know, that's the internet.  i would just like it if there is someone who can steer me towards a better monitor, sub $200 or another HDTV that can put everything on level.

thanks much,
