Do you have a section pertaining to "where I got infected and if not , why not?????

It could keep others from getting infected in the first place. We should all know the usual places but where are the other sources.

I don't speak for the forum, but just a couple thoughts.

Most have no idea where they picked up their issue so there is no way to identify the location.

There is a section here for "How I got infected" but I would guess that a lot have not read it and they come here after they have an issue...

We do not have a "Where I got infected" section of the forum, however the General Security Forum does contain some posts on specific infections, for example:

KEYHolder Support and Discussion Topic
CoinVault Support Topic
HowDecrypt or CryptorBit Encrypting Ransomware - $500 USD Ransom Topic

Many of my multiple unit clients have set aside a machine for employees to play games, shop etc.  It gets its drive wiped and backup OS installed everyday because it gets infected everyday.  Just about every type has been found  and various anti-virus programs from Norton to MacAfee and dozens of free ones have been ineffective at stopping the daily infections.  Most came from porn sites but bunches were from hijacked web sites and got both flash and rootkit infections.  BE safe, backup .

I wonder why they couldn't just "freeze" the OS with something like DeepFreeze.
