I got a browser hijacker called Tikotin from a pop-up ad of Adobe Flashplayer that downloaded without me clicking anything. Now I get pop-ups no matter what page I go to. I even get some on my desktop! I can't find it anywhere in Chrome (settings, extensions, I checked everywhere) and I can't find it on my computer even after looking through every program in the uninstall a program feature. How do I fix this? I have considered buying a flash drive with tons of storage and putting all my files on there, then wiping my computer clean and then putting everything from the flash drive back onto the computer. Will that work? Or is there a way to get rid of it without wiping it?
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
