Hi everybody, and Happy New Year, :cold:

I have a computer running Windows 7 (64 bit), and it uses an Asus Z87-Deluxe motherboard.  I want to update the Broadcom Bluetooth driver, but as usual, I am confused.  When I visit the Broadcom site, the driver file size is shown as 3.98MB.  See link below:

http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

However, when I visit the Asus site, I select Windows 7 64 Bit, then Bluetooth, and the driver file size is shown as 419.62 MB.  See link below:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87DELUXE/HelpDesk_Download/

The vast difference is file sizes indicates to me that Asus is likely including far more than the Bluetooth driver.  So, how do I choose the correct driver?

Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

George

Since the laptop was manufactured by Asus...you should always use the Asus website for drivers, IMO.

If that site doesn't have drivers for that system and your version of Windows...that would be the time to seek alternate sites, IMO.
